51st International conference of Slovak Society of Chemical Engineering – SSCHE 2025

The SSCHE conference is organized by the Slovak Society of Chemical Engineering with assistance of the Institute of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology. The aim of the conference is presentation of recent results of research and technological – engineering solutions in the area of chemical and biochemical engineering, mechanical engineering in chemistry, control of processes in chemical and food industry, with the focus on rational use of energy sources, ecology and risk management.
Basic information
The conference will take place in a charming area of Nízke Tatry (Low Tatras), in Hotel Družba, Jasná, Demänovská Dolina between May 27 – 30, 2025. The scientific program of SSCHE 2025 starts on Tuesday afternoon (May 27) and finishes on Thursday evening (May 29).
Participation of students at the conference is welcomed. Also for the 51st SSCHE conference we will organize student POSTER AWARD with awarding of three best posters judged by scientific committee. Three best posters will be awarded with 250 EUR each. Students can register for the poster award competition in the conference system.

Lunch and dinner:
Price of lunch and dinner is included in conference registration fee (buffet style with one beverage). Lunch will be served on Wednesday (May 28) and Thursday (May 29) and dinner on Tuesday (May 27) and Thursday (May 29). Dinner on Wednesday (May 28) is part of the conference party.
Accommodation:
Accommodation of participants is individual but we recommended to book it in conference hotel Hotel Družba. To book room please use hotel reservation system with promocode ‘SSCHE2025’ to get better price for accommodation. The approximative prices for room are from 98 € to 124 € for two persons per room per night including breakfast and local tax. (Any special requests related to room selection, booking a double-bed room for one person, booking multi-bed room and budgeting the invoice among the participants staying in the room, etc., should be directly addressed by the participants with the Družba Hotel reception, contact: +421 908 132 974, druzba@druzbahotel.sk)
There is also possibility to book accommodation in the nearby hotels Hotel Sorea SNP or Hotel Bjornson but hotels are 2 km far by road and 300 m far by tourist path from the conference premises.
Transport:
Transportation is individual. There is a train connection between Bratislava and Liptovský Mikuláš and a bus connection between railway station (bus station) Liptovský Mikuláš and Jasná (for timetable check the following page). Contributions
Contributions will be presented in the form of plenary lectures, lectures in sections, and posters. Accompanying persons can not be co-authors of any contributions.
Lectures: Lecture time should not exceed 20 minutes. Reduce to minimum the derivation of mathematical equations and description of data in tables. Focus on explanation of starting points and the achieved results. For presentation you can use a data projector with PC.
Posters: Poster should contain headline with names of authors, affiliation with mail address, and the title of contribution. The size of the poster board is 87 cm (width) x 118 cm (height). The authors are expected to attend their posters during the poster session according to the conference program. Students can register for Student poster competition during registration of the poster contribution in the conference system.
Proceedings with abstract and full-text of contributions will be published on-line and will be available at web page sschi.sk. To prepare the proceedings, abstracts and full-texts must be submitted in an electronic form following the instructions on the web page of SSCHE until April 30, 2025.
Instructions for Abstract Preparation
The abstract should be on one page size A4 with the font size 12 pt., alignment left and right, all margins equal to 2.5 cm. The text must be submitted in electronic form in PDF file in a final camera ready version. Header and footer of the text must be empty. The format of the abstract is described below:
- first line: start with the title of the contribution in bold letters and with the size of lettering 14 pt. high,
- skip one line,
- first name and surname of the author (in the case of co-authors, put a comma between the names),
- skip one line,
- affiliation with full address including postcode
- skip one line,
- e-mail address of corresponding author,
- skip two lines,
- key words (if possible the same as in the text),
- text of the abstract.
The author is responsible for the content and quality of contributions. Editorial amendments will not be done. The texts will be converted into the final version respecting the possibilities of the camera ready version. Header and footer of the text must be empty without numbering.

Instructions for Contributors of full-text Papers
The size of lettering in the manuscript must be 12 pt. high, the text with spacing 1.2, alignment left and right, font Times New Roman. The format of the paper is described below:
- first line: start with the title of the contribution in bold letters and with the size of lettering 14 pt. high,
- skip one line,
- first name and surname of the author (in the case of co-authors, put a comma between the names),
- skip one line,
- affiliation with full address including postcode,
- skip one line,
- e-mail address of corresponding author,
- skip two lines,
- key words,
- skip two lines,
- abstract of your contribution, the same text as in mandatory abstract
- full-text of the contribution.
The text must be submitted in electronic form (through the on-line submission system) in PDF file in a final camera ready version including all figures, graphs and tables. The margins are 2.5 cm (all sides). Header and footer of the text must be empty.
Both the contributions, the abstracts and full-text papers are due on 30th of April, 2025. After this deadline contributions will not be included in the Proceedings of the conference!

Instructions for contributors to Chemical Papers
All participants are encouraged to submit their conference lecture and poster presentations in the form of original papers, short communications or reviews to the journal Chemical Papers.
The manuscripts must be submitted through the journal on-line submission system – https://www.editorialmanager.com/CHPA/default.aspx. You can also include in an accompanying letter that the contribution was presented at the SSCHE Conference. Your contribution will be then published with a reference footnote about the presentation on the SSCHE Conference. The manuscripts must fully comply with the requirements of the Journal that are available at https://www.springer.com/journal/11696 . The authors are obliged to use a manuscript template.
